Anthony Fadaka, FNIM :: Registrar/Chief Executive
Anthony Fadaka holds a first degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, Nigeria, and a Master of Business Administration from Coventry University, UK. He has worked as a Commercial, Cost Control, and Sales Personnel, as well as Procurement/Sourcing Administrator, and has been in general management for over 23 years and has vast knowledge of working operations of various economic sectors. His working career started as a Commercial Officer with Setraco Nigeria Ltd, before moving to Atlas Petroleum International Ltd, Lagos as Admin Manager, then to the Nigerian Telephony and Telecommunications Incorporated (NITTI) as Deputy Manager, Commercial; and was elevated to the position of Manager, National & Long Distance Services in 2001. He moved to Projects Direct Nigeria Ltd as Director of Operations in September 2004 till January 2011 when he was appointed Director, Membership Services at Institute of Directors Nigeria and elevated to the position of Acting Director General/CEO in 2013, a position he held till May 2014 when he was appointed Deputy Registrar of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). Mr. Fadaka was a Member of familiarization team from Nigeria to British Telecom’ facilities in England to study VSAT operations, and a Member of the study group that reviewed the prospect of a Triple-Play telecom network in Nigeria. He was also a Board Member of defunct West African Broad Band Services Limited, and a Member of Comm-Afrique’s bid committee for the Nigerian Second National Career. He was Nigeria’s pioneer representative at the African Corporate Governance Network. Mr. Fadaka, a Member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management is widely traveled and his hobbies include playing chess, and general reading. He is married with children.
Festus Olujimi Ogunmokun
Mr. Festus Olujimi Ogunmokun, hails from Ikeji-Ile-Ijesa area of Osun State of Nigeria. He is a graduate of Accounting from the University of Benin, Edo State.He started his professional career with Akintola Williams Deloitte (Chartered Accountants) between 1981 – 1987 as an Audit Supervisor from where he carried out statutory audit, accounting, taxation and consultancy works on the firm’s wide spectrum of clientele. He left the firm to become the Accountant/Company Secretary of NIPOL Limited, a subsidiary of O’odua Group of Companies, Ibadan. From 1990 to 2004, he worked at the West African Portland Cement Plc where he held managerial positions and rose from the position of Management Accountant; Divisional Accountant; Chief Accountant and Head of Tax Planning and Compliance. From 2004 to 2006, he worked with Foladey Consulting as Principal Consultant, and Allied Air Limited, a domestic cargo airline, as General Manager before joining the employment of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) in 2008 as Principal Manager/Head of Audit. A strategic thinker and highly experienced accounts and audit operations executive with in-depth understanding of accounting, taxation and inventory management functions, and a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams to higher levels of success and productivity. He possesses proven trouble-shooting abilities and capacity to successfully analyse organisation’s critical business requirements, identify deficiencies and potential opportunity, and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for enhancing competitiveness and increasing revenues. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), he has attended a lot of courses both national and international. Mr. Ogunmokun is currently the Director, Finance and Investments at the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). A chartered accountant with vast knowledge in Accounting and Audit, Mr. Ogunmokun is happily married, with four lovely children.
Dr. Jumoke Obasa
Dr Jumoke Obasa is the Director, Membership Services. In this position,she co-ordinates and supervises programmes , plans and activities of the Directorate of Membership Services. Dr Obasa attended Ahmadu Bello , Obafemi Awolowo and Ilorin universities and holds a Ph.D in Educational Psychology. She has participated in capacity building programmes in Nigeria and abroad. A versatile professional,her career traverses human resource management,educational management,process and institutional administration as well as broadcasting. Previously she was Deputy Director and Head of Management Education and Control in the Directorate of Capacity Building. Beginning her career at the Institute in the Membership Services Directorate (to which she has returned), Dr Obasa has performed in positions of responsibility in various departments of the Institute incuding the Human Resources and Adminisration Department which she headed for six years,rising from Senior Manager to Assistant Director. She later headed the Abuja Management Centre as Resident Consultant/AD. On her return to Lagos,she worked briefly with the Learning Department. At the Management Education and Control Department which she led for seven years, she anchored the implementation of new programmes, expansion of activities and initiatives which the Institute’s new charter status occasioned. A participant in the Institute’s training function,she organized seminars and conferences under the Women-in Management and Leadership series (WIMLEAD) which she expanded. Before joining the Institute,Dr Obasa had worked in senior positions in the public educational system. An ardent disciple of Jack Welch and a stickler for quality and integrity,she challenges individuals and organizations to benchmark their performance and work attitudes by the highest standards.
